Welcome! Whether you're new to gardening or it's been your hobby for years, we hope
you find inspiration for your garden design project here.
Phillip's story of a successful career change is inspirational. He was a panel beater and
ran a car body repair workshop for 26 years, sometimes working seven days a week. After
his father died, he re-evaluated his life, went back to college and started a commercial
garden design business. In his first year, Phillip won a bronze medal at the Malvern
Spring Show for his 350 m˛ garden called 'You Just Plant Round It'. The BBC filmed Alan
Titchmarsh saying 'Its scary how far he's come in such a short space of time!'
Since then, Phillip's natural gifts for creating stylish gardens are being recognised further afield.
Nearly a million people saw the garden makeover for a family with cancer, courtesy of
valued sponsors and the BBC.
Phillip has been invited to exhibit at the Malvern Spring Show, May 2006. The organisers
want the garden as the centrepiece for the Three Counties Show, which follows.
And something really special - The Royal Horticultural Society invited Phillip to exhibit
a show garden at Hampton Court in 2006. It is the most prestigious flower show after
Chelsea and he's delighted. However, he keeps his feet on solid ground and calls a
spade a spade - not a gardening implement!
A growing number of people with
varying budgets commission Phillip's designs. Here's an insight
into a few...
